Job Title: Electrical Workshop Supervisor
Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Salary: Competitive, Dependant on experience
Job type: Permanent, Full time
Hours of Work: 8.30 – 5.00 Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 4.00 Friday
The Role
- Assembling and testing a wide range of electrical plant such as MDA and various switchgear and site temporary electrical products.
- Technical supervisory knowledge so as to be able to work on own proficiently and carry out fault finding and service without supervision in the most efficient and economical manner.
- Comply with Company Health & Safety Policy including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.
The Candidate:
Must be able to work unsupervised in a busy environment. The candidate should be methodical, carrying out and supervising the throughput of a workshop which services industrial and contract customers.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
The successful Candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 year experience of working in a fast paced environment
- Effective organisational skills
- Attention to detail and a high standard of work
- Proven ability and aptitude as an electrician
- Previously worked on distribution units and switch gear and knowledge of the construction industry is also desirable.
- City & Guilds 2360/2330 Parts 1&2 – or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation – or equivalent
- BS7671 17th Edition Test & Inspection 2391 or equivalent is desirable but not essential
