Job Title: Telecom Installations and Maintenance Engineer
Location: Field and Office based
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
The Company offers comprehensive Telecommunications Services and office telephone solutions, including Voice-Over-The-Internet (VoIP) systems. They provide integrated telephony, communication, Data Cabling, Network Cabling, Fibre Optic cabling, Line rental, Commercial CCTV Installation, Broadband and business office phone systems and their solutions include supply, installation and maintenance to businesses both large and small.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and programming of telephone systems including programming of SIP trunks
- Liaising with customers re their programming requirements
- Basic handset training
- Answering customer calls re problems with telephone systems
- Logging onto telephone systems to rectify problems if possible or visiting site to resolve fault if not possible to resolve remotely
- Fault finding of SIP services
- Installation and configuration of routers and wireless access points
- Installation and configuration of network switches
- Keeping records and database upto date
- Liaison with technical support for different manufacturers
- Keeping van stocked with day to day essentials
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate experience in LG iPECS UCP telephone systems – essential, others are a bonus
- Be confident with SIP, routers, networking, switches, Wi-Fi is essential
- Have cabling experience – desirable
