The role:
The Export Administrator will be responsible for tracking export licence coverage for all orders, oversee the Single Individual Export Licence (SIEL) applications, raise Open General Export Licence (OGEL) paperwork and to maintain the export licence registers and contract review minutes.
The Candidate:
- Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain suitable level security clearance (5 years British residency necessary)
- GCSE or equivalent with English language to a professional level in reading, writing and communication.
- Proficient in MS Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Publisher
- Demonstrate attention to detail in their working environment
- Working knowledge of UK Export Control, advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide an efficient administration support service to the Department, with particular focus on preparing all required paperwork to support the compliance requirements of the company’s registered OGELs.
- Update and maintain the records of all exports made by the company and the associated licences used.
- Prepare Technical Publications when required to meet customer requirements.
- Complete shipping quote request forms to support the bid process when shipping quotes are required from freight forwarders.
- Maintain the contract review minutes to show the export licence coverage for all orders and provide a weekly report on export licence coverage every Friday to the Business Director.
- Comply with Group policies and Business Code of Ethics.
- Support with the meeting and room arrangements for Customer Visits onsite and general administrative support to the wider Sales & Commercial Department.
This role is typically worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility is required to support the needs of the business.
