About the role:
As Quality Technician, you’ll be involved with the planning and performance of: Equipment maintenance & calibration, quality management system maintenance to support accreditations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic system audits.
- Ensure and maintain company quality standards.
- Plan and perform calibrations and maintenance activities.
- Check and update technical documents used by the laboratory.
- To ensure labelling of equipment and samples is correctly maintained and relevant equipment is taken out of service where necessary.
- To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
- Standard understanding;
- Calibration process understanding;
- IT skills;
- Attention to detail;
- A flexible approach to work;
- Basic auditing skills
- Basic QMS awareness
- Technical Understanding of construction testing.
Qualifications:
- Experience of working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.
- Educated to GCSE/A level or equivalent standard.
Preferred:
- External qualifications in a related discipline.
Key Working Relationships:
Quality Manager, Laboratory Director, Field Services Director, Technical Director, All Managers, All Technical and Administrative Staff.
