Job Title: Internal Sales Engineer
Location: Shefford
Salary: £30,000
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37.5 Hours), 5 Days a week.

The Group are a worldwide technical distribution company based in their Head Office in Shefford Bedfordshire.
With over 50 years’ experience in the Defence, Aerospace, Food processing, Medical equipment & Devices, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Automotive, Logistics & General Manufacturing.
We are looking for an individual to be based at the Head Office in Shefford, Bedfordshire.
Main Duties:
- Preparing quotations for customers
- Processing and organising customer purchase orders
- Maintaining and updating customer details
- Supporting the external sales team in following up and converting open opportunities
- Following up the quotes generated in our CMS system
- Liaising with the purchasing team to obtain pricing from suppliers
- Co-operate within the team environment
- Identify business opportunities by identifying potential users of our Bearing, Drives, Gears and Actuation products and evaluating their ability to use them.
- Develop new business by identifying and selling to prospects
The Candidate:
- Technical Sales experience with Bearings and Power Transmission products
- Or, someone from a related industry such as pumps, motors, conveyors with a good technical background – preferably mechanical engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering background.
- An understanding of the principles of power transmission.
- Able to select products from catalogues and provide quotes to clients.
- A genuine interest in engineering and/or technology with a desire to grow and develop
- Used to preparing quotes and liaising with customers
- Experienced with client relationships, prospecting skills and meeting sales goals
- Highly self-motivated, team player, well organised with attention to detail
- Confident in interaction with customers and suppliers
- Willing to learn and wanting to develop in the role to take on more responsibility
- Initial on the job training (approx. 3 months) to ensure familiarity with products and processes. Ongoing product and sales training thereafter.
