The Company of Master Jewellers is a leading jewellery buying group seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Finance Manager. This role will be responsible for supporting the current Head of Finance and learning all aspects of financial management within our unique industry.

The Job role
- Assist the current Head of Finance in overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Learn and develop financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Support the preparation and review of financial statements, reports, and analyses, and present financial information to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance against budget, forecasts, and key performance indicators, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Learn and develop relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions, and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Provide strategic financial advice and guidance to senior management, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
- Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
- Assist and implement a New Finance System, “go live” date April 2024
You will need:
- To be ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a financial management role, preferably in the retail industry or a buying group.
- Experience with MS Dynamics would be an advantage but not essential.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and delivering accurate and timely financial information.
- Experience with financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and Board Members
- Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
