The Role:
The Birmingham College of Food is currently looking to recruit a highly skilled lecturer in Professional Cookery. In this role, you will share and inspire students with your experiences in managing and operating culinary businesses. You will inspire our students in our state-of-the-art facilities, which includes the innovation suite, sensory rooms and professional skills kitchens. You will also work with within our team to continuously improve the student experience and advance the culinary provision within the school.
Essential requirements for this role include:
- Experience of teaching or training students or employees within a professional setting
- Exceptional cookery skills and subject knowledge.
- High levels of organisational and administrative skills.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
This would be a highly creative role, in which you would demonstrate the ability to teach at under-graduate level. Contributing to the development of the provision with a particular focus on contemporary practical skills, which will enable students to progress into successful careers in the sector.
