About the Role:
Main duties are the effective execution of tasks of unloading / loading, receiving, storing and issue of goods in a modern manufacturing environment.
Duties are varied and may include activities that assist other departments and personnel, such as cleaning, lifting, moving, and offering general assistance.
For the FLT and Crane, we would be able to provide training to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unloading/ loading of goods for despatch with FLT or crane
- Paperwork requirements and the essential nature of documentation
- Marking of goods to retain traceability through the process
- Movement of goods to ensure no disruption to the production process with FLT or crane
- Storage of goods ensuring location information is fed back to update the system
- Packaging of goods for internal and external movement ensuring any customer specifications are followed and no damage can be done in transport
- Any other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager or a member of the senior leadership team
Experience/Skills (Essential & Desirable):
- Fork Lift Licence
- Crane Operations Certificate
- A reasonable standard of education is required, with IT skills, key will be attitude
- An interest in logistics, purchasing and supply chain operations
- A logical common-sense thought process will be required
