The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is a Bristol-based national charity that supports people and organisations across the UK to tackle the climate emergency and end the suffering caused by cold homes. We do this by sharing our knowledge, practical experience and policy insights.
The Role
We’re looking for a Development & Fundraising Officer to contribute to generating funding from charitable trusts, individuals, corporate, major donors and wider sources to help increase the impact of CSE’s vital work.
Responsibilities include
- To work effectively with other members of the CSE development team and project staff to support the rollout of compelling funding pitches for projects or specific fundraising campaigns.
- Work with members of the Development team on creative ways of presenting CSE to engage corporate partners leading to mutually beneficial relationships with social purpose.
- Work with the Communications team to ensure high-quality fundraising materials are developed for promoting appeals and regular donations, including on our website, all other CSE communications channels and third-party platforms.
- To identify and research funding sources (in collaboration with the development team) particularly new grants or donations from foundations and trusts.
- Respond to ad hoc funding related external enquiries in a timely fashion, involving colleagues from Development and other teams where appropriate.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience of providing administrative support to colleagues, external partners and clients.
- Experience of customer service.
- Experience of producing high-quality written materials.
- Excellent administrative skills and ability to undertake routine tasks with accuracy and reliability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills – including the ability to write clear, concise and inspiring content for a range of audiences
