The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic External Relations team as an Alumni and Development Officer. You will be responsible for the running of the St Edmund’s College Alumni operation, building mutually beneficial relationships with current and former students, staff and parents of the College.
This part-time role is term time only, 15 hours per week, over two days or more, as agreed at interview, with a flexible approach for events which could be evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities include
- Welcome visiting Alumni and give tours of College where required.
- Maintain the Alumni website.
- Liaise with the Edmundian Association as appropriate.
- Attend all association meetings and act as Secretary for the committee.
- To update, develop and maintain an effective database of all alumni, be it students, staff and parents.
- Encourage alumni to provide content on a regular basis.
Ideal candidate
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong IT skills across multi platforms
- Experience of managing and hosting events
- Positive and friendly approach with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
- Self-motivated, creative thinker
