The role:
To co-ordinate, carry out and oversee all resources, related to electrical maintenance.
Skills and Experience required:
- Electrical Apprenticeship in a precision engineering environment.
- Working with problem solving and trouble-shooting techniques.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Good communication, both verbal and written.
- Has comprehensive electrical and electronics knowledge linked to a precision engineering
- production environment.
- Has basic supervisory aptitude.
- Has clear understanding of principal financial aspects linked to the Maintenance Department.
Key Role Requirements:
- To carry out all duties and responsibilities of a Maintenance Electrician.
- Understand fully and communicate effectively at all levels on electrical requirements and functions of
- premises, machinery, plant and equipment, used by the Company.
- Assist in the proper allocation of electrical work for relevant maintenance employees, assuring that such work is carried out fully in accordance with requirements of cost, quality, production needs; Health and
- Safety, with all associated procedures and linked records being correctly followed and completed.
- Attend to the detailed smooth running of the designated area/aspects of responsibility, including
- assisting with associated provisioning and its linked controls.
- Participate in training and development of maintenance employees to ensure the necessary skills are fully maintained.
- To ensure that all involved machinery/equipment and tooling is fully and properly maintained and available for any required use, with the minimum of delay.
- Liaise fully with Maintenance Superintendent and maintenance employees and any other associated
- specialist groups/services for the prompt resolution of all problems affecting the achievement of
- Production/Assembly objectives.
- For all new equipment, ensure the appropriate maintenance procedures are available for use and assist in
- co-ordinating preventative maintenance activities in general.
- Ensure safe custody of all books, drawings, tools and equipment used to achieve the purpose of the job and approve the use of consumable store items and spare parts, advising the Maintenance Manager on stock
