Job Title: Relief Training Coordinator

Location: Based at Guisborough BJP Home Support office but training will be provided to BJP Home Support, Gracelands Care Home (Guisborough) and Belmont View Care Home (Guisborough).

Salary: £27,000

Job type: Full time, Part Time, Permanent

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

BJP Home Support provides care to people in their own homes to maintain their lifestyle and independence and ultimately, allow them to stay in their own homes within Redcar and Cleveland, Middlesbrough and North Yorkshire.

BJP Home Support is a local, family run businesses with a head office operating in Guisborough. We have two sister companies that are both care homes, operating in the same area. We have worked in the Health and Social Care Sector for over 30 years within Redcar and Cleveland.

The Role:

Due to a relief opportunity (potential for permanent), we are looking to recruit an experienced and professional Internal Trainer to support all our three companies BJP Home Support, Gracelands Care Home and Belmont View Care Home.

The right candidate will have experience in providing internal induction to health and social care staff, preferably the care certificate, as well as other relevant refresher/additional training. Experience of working in the care sector would also be an advantage.

Applicants must be able, and preferably hold relevant qualifications to demonstrate ability to provide training including Skills for Care mandatory training, moving and handling, medication management, first aid, safeguarding, health and safety and infection control.

For the right candidate we would support additional training, such as train the trainer, to allow them to carry out and improve their role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver induction training to all new care assistants in Home care and Care homes.
  • Instruct and support staff to achieve completion of the care certificate.
  • Assist staff with NVQ/QCF enrolment and development.
  • Provide refresher/update training to all staff.
  • Monitor and keep up to date all staff training and their files.
  • Responsibility for training room, equipment and materials
  • Provide training in the care homes.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork following any training and file in appropriate place.
  • Complete and review annual training programmes, monthly training topics.
