Salary: Permanent / Full-time – 35 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week (39 weeks per year)
Job Type: Scale 3 – £21,522 (Actual gross salary)

The Role:
Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls’ school. In response to local demand, we admitted our first mixed cohort in 2018 and are now fully co-educational.

As Behaviour Support Worker your role will be to contribute to the daily provision of high-quality pastoral care. This includes monitoring standards and patterns of behaviour and discipline, attendance and punctuality. You will need to have a good understanding of the school’s behaviour policy and be able to support staff in implementing this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the movement of students around the site during lesson times returning students who are absent without permission to classrooms
- Supervise students across the site during lunch time
- Support the operation and monitoring of the Internal Exclusion and Restorative rooms as appropriate
- Support the effective operation of the on-call system to remove students from lessons as necessary
The Candidate:
- English and Maths to Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Experience of working with children in a pastoral role
- Experience in dealing with the public in a ‘customer service’ environment to be able to maintain a positive and responsive service
