Job Title: Cook and Catering Manager

Location: Four Seasons, Coventry

Salary: £24,413-£25,900 per annum, pro rata

Job Type: Permanent, Part Time

Hours of Work: 18 hours per week – flexibility depending on the activities and events, some evening and weekends.

Closing Date: 23rd May 2023

Four Seasons is a social enterprise that gives work experience to adult with learning disabilities in a catering environment. Working with people with learning disabilities is central to the culture of the business and we work to help maximise each co-worker’s potential. However, the company is run as a commercial entity with social awareness.

Four Seasons and Kings Hill Nurseries (another social enterprise) form together Newpath Ventures that belongs to Life Path Trust, a charity based in Coventry that supports people with learning disabilities.

About the Role:

Newpath Ventures/Four seasons is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive chef and catering manager to join the team.

We are looking for a Cook & Catering Manager working alongside with people with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality meals and ensuing all food safety and health and safety legislation is adhered to.

Driving is essential as the site is not easily accessible by public transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer enquiries
  • Costing and margin calculation for food, events, enquiries, menu design.
  • Provide high quality meals and food for bookings (private events, afternoon teas, birthday parties, wedding, and funeral).
  • Organising events according to enquiries

About you:

  • Previous experience in catering
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks.
  • Aspirations for people with learning disabilities
  • Being able to lead a team in a kitchen environment
  • Understand and live our values
  • Food and hygiene level 2-3, H&S
