Job Title: Registered Manager

Location: Hounslow with hybrid working.

Salary: £33000 per annum with 22 holidays exclusive of bank holidays

Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary:

The main purpose of this role is ensure that Healthvision meets all its compliance obligations as specified by regulatory organisations, Contract Monitoring Officers at local councils and legal frameworks. It is expected that the Registered Manager will ensure quality assurance systems are in place and followed by all team members. The Registered manager must share the organisation’s ethos and values.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To ensure Health Vision policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • To ensure that the quality assurance programme is followed and any action plans required are implemented in a timely fashion.
  • To ensure that care planning is person centred and holistic
  • To support, monitor and supervise operational staff to ensure best practice, this includes, but is not limited to, roster oversight, regular reviews of care assessments, communication and general performance
  • To manage all service issues, such as complaints and feedback, promptly and effectively. Communicating with customers and conducting investigations. Developing action plans and referring staff for disciplinary hearings where appropriate.
  • Responding to customer queries promptly and professionally.
  • To maintain professional standards of care and behaviour at all times, and to promote Healthvision in a positive manner particularly external professionals
  • To maintain a level of professional conduct and attitude as an example to be aspired to by the rest of the operational team
  • To advise the Managing Director of any serious incidents or situations that cause concern or threaten client or carer safety
  • Have an awareness of the responsibilities related to maintaining client and organisation confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure best possible care outcomes
  • Follow published local authority procedures when reporting concerns or issues and report in a professional manner when liaising with these bodies.

Reporting Mechanism:

There is the expectation that the Registered manager will communicate regularly with operational staff, such as Co-ordinators, Supervisors and HR. The Registered Manager will report to the Managing Director. Any serious or urgent issues should be reported immediately to the Managing Director and external agencies as appropriate. Business issues, such as budgets and invoicing queries should be communicated to the Business. Disciplinary issues need to be addressed with HR.

Personalisation:

Healthvision actively promotes the wishes and choices of Service Users to ensure they receive a personalised service. As the Registered Manager you will need to be responsive and flexible to changing needs of our Service Users where practicable and within Healthvision policies and procedures. The Registered Manager’s responsibility is to ensure this model is followed with all care packages and that reviews are completed as per contractual arrangements.

Outcome Focused:

Health Vision follows the ‘outcomes’ model of care, where specific goals and desired outcomes are planned, with the input from the Service User, at the beginning of a care package. Delivery of care is always undertaken with these outcomes in mind, with regular feedback from carers essential in monitoring the progress of the Service User.

Position Requirements:

  • People management skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to being sensitive to needs of other cultures
  • Proficient use of IT systems
  • Proven experience in complex care environments
  • Must be prepared to attend regular training to update knowledge and skills
  • Care Coordinator experience preferred

  • Health Vision has a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Health Vision will initiate an annual performance review
  • Any problems or issues will be communicated to the Managing Director
  • Health Vision will organise training sessions where needed
