Job Title: Construction Curriculum Technician

Adult Learning are recruiting for a Full time, permanent Construction Curriculum Technician to support the smooth running of their Construction workshop and courses. This position will initially be based at our new Construction Centre in Kings Lynn.
The role of Construction Curriculum Technician is integral to ensure that the course programme runs efficiently by supporting Construction and Environmental Sustainability Tutors in delivering the curriculum, assisting in lessons, and ensuring a safe, engaging learning environment. Under the direction of the Construction and Environmental Sustainability Curriculum Manager, you will work with Tutors to support teaching and learning in the department by carrying out the effective preparation, maintenance & storage of tools, materials, equipment, furniture, and fittings. As well as ensuring appropriate maintenance, inspection, and compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
The Construction Curriculum Technician will work in close collaboration with the Tutors whilst the Curriculum Manger will be responsible for overall line management and direction.
The ideal candidate will have the practical skills and experience of working within an educational workshop environment as well as using construction tools, machinery, and equipment. Applicants should also possess an understanding of the importance of health and safety legislation and codes of practice in relation to construction environments.
Due to the work involved, it is essential that the applicant has effective written and oral communication skills, is physically fit, and able to lift and move heavy materials. They will be a pro-active team member with the ability to prioritise their workload, self-motivate, and take initiative.
