The British Dental Association (BDA) is the national professional association for dentists in the UK. We are currently seeking a Human Resources (HR) Administrator to provide high-level administrative support to the HR team and assist in its function.
About the role:
This is a full-time fixed-term position based to provide maternity cover. The BDA has offices in central London but employees have the flexible to be based anywhere in the UK, although the role may require attendance at our offices in London to undertake certain tasks, attend meetings and as part of the induction process.
The HR team will comprise of a Head of HR and Facilities, HR Manager and HR Administrator. As HR Administrator the post holder will be responsible for supporting the HR Manager in all aspects of the provision of a generalist HR service. This will include maintaining and updating staff records; updating and maintaining information on staff benefits; administering various HR processes such as recruitment, induction, training absences, performance management and payroll; providing general HR advice and support to employees; ensuring that the BDA intranet and website are kept up to date; and providing administrative support for relevant HR meetings.
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a HR environment, a fundamental understanding of the need for confidentiality, particular attention to detail, excellent office administration, organisation, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team to tight deadlines.
