DB Cargo UK is the UK’s largest rail freight company. We provide freight, infrastructure and passenger charter trains throughout the UK, and freight services to and from mainland Europe via the Channel Tunnel. We also provide traction and train crew for scheduled passenger operators.
The role:
We are currently recruiting for a RICS qualified surveyor to join the DB Cargo Property team to assist in the management of our diverse property portfolio. The role involves the management of properties in the Midlands however offers a hybrid and flexible working basis from home and from our headquarters in Doncaster.
Due to the nature of the role, regular travel to sites will be required.
What will you be doing?
The role will encompass:
- Negotiating and carrying out property transactions with customers, landlords, tenants and stakeholders, such as new lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews and assignments.
- Seeking out new opportunities to improve the income of the portfolio and reducing costs.
- Providing support in redevelopment schemes.
- Undertaking disposals and acquisitions.
- Working with other DB Cargo teams to facilitate operational and customer requirements
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate that currently works within the Property industry, has asset management experience and is MRICS Qualified. A newly qualified surveyor would be a good fit. The candidate should have commercial acumen, good communication, negotiation and project delivery skills and be able to manage a varied workload under their own initiative. Rail experience is not necessary. A full driving license is required.
