Job Title: Production Engineer

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum

Job type: Full Time

Must hold sole British citizenship and you must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.

The role:

  • To influence design for manufacture
  • To lead Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Plan new product introduction
  • Devise/provide/procure efficient safe manufacturing processes and equipment including quality assurance methods and full documentation to satisfy a highly regulated environment

The Candidate:

  • Level 4 HNC or equivalent (essential)
  • 5 Years British Residency
  • Permitted to work in the UK
  • Full Driving Licence

Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Carry out risk assessments to identify and implement safe working procedures.
  • To identify and document process instructions.
  • Follow NPP process.
  • To maintain the Work Instructions.
  • To provide buildings, services, tooling, and equipment in support of the production programme.
  • In conjunction with area supervision, to set up and carry out initial running of new processes.
  • Compile technical reports.
  • Identify and Cost capital projects.
  • To identify production improvement opportunities.
  • To train production personnel in the use of equipment, tooling and processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate Process Management of Change; amending tooling, equipment and Work Instructions accordingly.
  • Maintain the tool drawings & register.
  • Compile Capex applications.
  • Project management of new and improved processes.
  • Take the lead in PFMEAs.
  • Participate in DFMEAs.
  • QMS documentation maintenance and improvement.
