Job Title: Group & Events Coordinator

Location: Henry Moore Foundation, Perry Green, Hertfordshire

Salary: £20,000 – £22,000 + up to 12.5% pension contribution + other benefits

Job Type: Full Time, permanent, 35 hours/week

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy events and visitor services team in a thriving cultural environment, where your customer skills and event management flair can flourish.

The Henry Moore Foundation, established by one of the greatest sculptors of the twentieth century, owns the largest collection of the artist’s work, which visitors can appreciate at his former home, gardens and studios in the small hamlet of Perry Green, located in the beautiful countryside of Hertfordshire, near Bishops Stortford. We aim to inspire and inform people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy and appreciate sculpture, whether they have an interest in or are studying the arts, visiting with their family for a day out or getting married in our stunning surroundings.

The role:

We are looking to appoint a bright, well organised individual to welcome groups, schools and event hirers to Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, organising their bookings and ensuing that facilities offered are of the highest possible standards for the enjoyment of all. The post-holder will assist with the organisation and delivery of events, providing excellent customer service, and will participate in the weekend duty management rota during the visitor season.

This is a full-time permanent position, working predominantly Monday – Friday with some weekends and bank holidays.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in the arts and will have some experience (paid or voluntary) in events management and in dealing with members of the public – ideally in the cultural, tourism or hospitality sectors. A ‘can do’ enthusiastic attitude, excellent organisational skills, a commitment to high levels of customer service and an ability to motivate others are essential for this role. Training will be provided.
