Job Title: Data and Insight Lead

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £43,100 – £50,200 per year depending on experience

Job type: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week. Can also be based in Wirral (hybrid working)

The Company:

Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support, Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives. It offers places for children to relax and enjoy themselves, whatever their age.

At our site on the Wirral, they can have fun in our multi-sensory room, art room, hydrotherapy pool and jacuzzi. There is a separate wing complete with bar, sound system and Xbox for teenagers and young adults. Whilst their children are having fun, mums and dads get the chance to enjoy some much-needed time off together or the opportunity to spend time with their other children.

The Role:

Claire House has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and influential individual with excellent communication skills to support us to manage our data and produce meaningful insight to make better strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the business to ensure monthly/quarterly KPIs are relevant and meaningful and implement any necessary changes
  • Set data principles for Claire House and ensuring the operational teams understand and adhere to these principles
  • Automate controls to ensure data capture adheres to data principles, which will include working with 3rd party suppliers to implement
  • Work with the business to ensure any dashboards developed are relevant and meaningful
  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide reports
  • Develop systems and partner with the business to support all aspects of data management
  • Work with the project team on any projects which uses or captures data
  • Deliver training and monitor to ensure data integrity

Knowledge and experience:

  • Educated to degree standard and have a recognised qualification in coding and report writing
  • Proven experience as a data analyst
  • Experience of managing people and developing effective relationships
  • Ability to explain and simplify complex data
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development and data mining
  • Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages (Business objects, tableau, power BI), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience in using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate information with high attention to detail
