Job Title: Administrator / Sales Administration Assistant, Architectural Glass Company

Salary: up to £28,000 pro-rata, subject to relevant experience

Location: Wivelsfield, Haywards Heath

Job Type: Permanent Employment (Minimum 4 – 6 hours daily, dependent on requirements)

Job Description:

Due to an expanding workload, there is an opportunity for an extremely motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our small but busy team, based near Haywards Heath in Sussex.

We are looking for someone to take charge of our sales and order administration, supporting our Project Manager and managing our various Health & Safety and ISO 9001 accreditations. Once established, we would anticipate that this role would also include project invoicing. Specific construction industry experience of these aspects would be a great advantage, although assistance and full training is available.

We are a well-established company who design and install bespoke structural and architectural glass, mainly into churches and historic buildings but also serving the commercial and domestic markets. This is an interesting and varied job role with the opportunity to become an essential part of our team.

Your main duties will be:

  • First point of contact for email enquiries, discussing these with the estimating team
  • Tracking jobs from quotation to installation
  • Supporting our Project Manager with materials ordering and delivery
  • Managing the documentation requirements for our accreditations as necessary
  • Preparing and submitting project invoicing, supporting our director
  • General office administration / assisting office colleagues when requested
  • Ad-hoc organizational and management tasks as and when required

Our ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:

  • Be organised and proactive with a friendly attitude
  • Work well within a team and independently when required
  • Confident telephone manner * Enthusiasm to learn about our products / ability to read drawings would help
  • Familiarity with CHAS / Constructionline / ISO 9001 accreditations a distinct advantage
  • Good IT literacy, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
