Job Title: Machine Operator (Day shift only)

Seddon Boxes is a long-established family-owned UK rigid box and jigsaw puzzle manufacturer, based in Kettering. The business supplies packaging and puzzles to many well-known premium brands. We are a small customer focused company that prides itself on producing high quality solutions within industry leading manufacturing times, so flexibility to react quickly is key.
Hours:
Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 14:00 (30 minute lunch break daily)
The factory operates currently on dayshift only. Voluntary overtime available in peak periods.
Role Purpose:
Day to day running of an Emmeci rigid box wrapping machine, ensuring output and quality meets the expected company standards.
Job activities:
- Set up the machine to meet the requirement of the job.
- Ensure the completed box is correct to the production sample and specification.
- Responsible for regularly checking the quality of goods produced to ensure the whole production run meets the desired criteria.
- Ensure outputs are as expected, meeting the specified run rates.
- Maintain the machine to avoid down time.
- Record machine daily outputs.
- Complete the daily Health & Safety sheet.
- At the end of the shift, clean down the machine.
- Ensure your work is clean and tidy at all times.
- Be flexible and work as a team to deliver the business needs.

Desired:
- Box, carton, print, or print finishing manufacturing experience
- Previous experience running machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical/technical experience
