The Role:
The Inventory Lead position is a role that is changing in our business. The function of this role is to oversee and lead the PI and returns team, ensuring their workload is coordinated to achieve KPIs, provide support and an escalation point for any concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
The key to this role will lie in your supervisory experience. You will have a track record of closely overseeing a team and developing their skills to meet your own high standards. Reporting to the Inventory Manager, you will ensure the timely delivery of weekly reports and that scheduled PI checks are completed along with quick responses to customer stock queries.
You will be coordinating the stock team to ensure a variety of stock related duties are performed to schedule including but not limited to, PI checks, empty location checks, sin bin performance, high value checks, adjustment audits and report consolidation.
Leading by example, you will drive the PI team to ensure any discrepancies are quickly corrected and escalated to the inventory manager while tracking and recording stock performance for weekly evaluation.

Leadership – You will lead a small team of inventory assistants, ensuring any discrepancies are quickly adjusted and errors recorded. Your work ethic that will be the benchmark for your team to strive towards.
Data management – To facilitate continuous improvement, you will assist with creating weekly reports to present your teams performance. You will be proficient with spreadsheets, manipulating data and working with a robust WMS.
Hands on approach – You will need to be able to handle up to 25kg as cases on a pallet may need arranging to count the total. You will also be operating a scissor lift in narrow aisles and at height while also assisting with the stock in our damaged and sin bin areas.
Team player mind set – While you will supervise and lead your team, you will be working alongside various teams and managers throughout the business to proactively solve problems and resolve any issues encountered.
People management – Your previous experience of nurturing and levelling up your team will be crucial to your success. The high standard at which you work will inspire your team to follow your path and deliver successfully.
