Job Title: Head of Year – Sixth Form Centre
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £60,000 per annum.

The Role:
UCB is creating a new Sixth Form Centre, opening to students in September 2024. This will present a new opportunity in central Birmingham to prepare for university in a university, and to take advantage of the excellent resources and expertise UCB has for teaching and learning in areas identified as priorities by regional and national leaders.
We are looking for key managers to work with our recently-appointed Principal to develop the Centre, to recruit students and staff to it and to oversee the £5.8M refurbishment which will create its home.
The Head of Year will develop and implement the tutorial and pastoral programme for the 2024 Year 12, and work with a subsequently-appointed colleague to deliver this in future years. The role requires you to take an oversight of students’ study programmes, ensure progress is tracked and interventions are timely, highly effective and tailored to the students’ needs.

You will need to show a track record of successful student support, a good grasp of data and tracking processes and be able to show how you have used initiative and creativity in enhancing the student experience.
