Job Title: Training and Development Coordinator

Location: Dover or Home-based role.

Salary: £25,976 per year. Increasing to £29,580 after successfully completing 6-month probation.

Job type: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Full-time, Permanent. Home working. Our Clear Voice department is open Monday to Friday; you will work hours between 8am and 5.30​pm.

The Role:

We are currently looking for a Training and Development Coordinator to join our collaborative and welcoming Clear Voice team, on a Permanent Contract.

This role will include organising, coordinating and facilitating a variety of training to meet diverse needs of Interpreters. The post holder will ensure the accessibility of the learning materials and platforms, by establishing efficient communication pathways, responding to queries and identifying gaps in provision and knowledge for individuals and the organisation as a whole. The successful candidate will provide an overall professional support service with a strong emphasis on producing training materials and ensuring access to resources, managing the general training, development needs and requirements of our Freelance Interpreters.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures for Clear Voice’s Training and Development of interpreters, including implementing and delivering training courses, creating training materials and ensuring accessibility of all resources.
  • Manage the eLearning platform and portfolio of courses; including registering new interpreters, providing support and guidance, and establishing a tracking mechanism to ensure all interpreters progress appropriately with the recommended and refresher courses.
  • Create a bank of resources on the learning management system to ensure high quality training; including setting up activities, uploading resources and testing.
  • Support the Clear Voice Quality Manager and Team with embedding a culture of quality within the organisation and with our pool of interpreters.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of interpreters by establishing and maintaining efficient communication pathways and relationships with interpreters to understand their training and development needs and delivering the most suitable training or services to improve their knowledge.
  • Maintain a robust CRM system and database of all interpreters; ensuring the information is up to date.
  • Compile reports and statistical information as required.
  • Work with the Interpreter Assessor Coordinator and the Engagement & Complaints Coordinator to understand the training and development needs of the interpreters.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to relate to wide range of people
  • ​Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel and databases; particularly in making and keeping accurate and timely records
  • ​Excellent ability to communicate at all levels, verbally and in writing, with diverse groups or individuals
  • ​Have high attention to detail and ability to problem solve
  • ​Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, both individually and in a team
