The Role:
The Faculty of Science and Engineering is sector-leading in the development and provision of Degree Apprenticeships. Based in Chelmsford and Cambridge, the Faculty delivers Degree Apprenticeships in various subjects, such as Bioinformatics, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Town Planning, Data Science, Data Technology and Hearing Aid Audiology.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced skills coach to join our team in either Chelmsford or Cambridge to support and develop apprentices through their Degree Apprenticeship journey, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours to succeed. You will liaise with apprentices, employers and internal key contacts to develop our student-focused service, conducting regular reviews with students and their employers to measure progress and agree the way forward.
Educated to degree level or with relevant professional training and development experience within one of the Degree Apprenticeship fields above, experience of teaching in groups or tutoring and monitoring progress in other education settings would also prepare you well for success in this role. You will be highly customer-focused, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and have experience of providing one-to-one study skills support to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
