Job Title: Logistics Trainee
Location: Pudsey, Leeds
Salary: £10.55 per hour
Schunk Carbon Technology Limited has been the manufacturing and sales centre for products of the Global Schunk Group GmbH in the United Kingdom for over 35 years. In our Leeds factory we manufacture carbon seal faces/bearings. We also supply into the UK market products manufactured by our European and Overseas sister companies such as sintered PM components and glass lined chemical process equipment.
Our Company:
- Local Subsidiary of a global group based in Germany (€1.2 billion turnover, 70 sites around the globe, 8000 employees)
- Produces and sells Carbon components and products for the British Isles Markets
- Main customers are Aerospace, Chemical and Process Industries, Industrial and Electrical Application Industries
Role Overview and Pay Conditions:
- Report directly to the Logistics Manager
- 37 hours per week

Responsibilities:
Goods Inwards
- Taking receipt of consignments
- Checking consignments to delivery notes/booking goods into the SAP system/storage of goods
- Filing all delivery/consignment notes
- Rolling inventories
- Issuing goods to production orders and issuing to production
- Updating data within excel for analysis
- 5s
Despatch dept.
- Packing/labelling goods ready for despatch or stock
- Booking finished materials into the SAP system
- Despatching consignments/booking shipments through online carriers
- Rolling inventories
- 5s

The Candidate
The ideal candidate should be educated to GCSE level C or above in maths and English, and be competent using a PC (experience with MS Office would be an advantage).
