The Role:
The role will involve collaborating with each department to gain an understanding of individuals’ development and training needs. You will then produce innovative ideas and initiatives that move the business forward in its learning culture, driving forward training initiative’s to further fostering our lifelong learning ethos.
You’ll have the opportunity to make the L&D role your own, drawing on tools we have used previously, as well as creating your own processes and resources. You’ll be able to introduce ways of working that suit your style!
The L&D role will involve planning, design, and delivering of training modules to difference audiences from new starters, experienced employees and to the leadership team. You will deliver training via a range of training methods from deskside coaching, classroom sessions, workshops, videos etc to suit the situation and learning styles.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering training and development to support current employees and make sure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to effectively do their job
- Design & delivering training sessions such as Customer Service, Values, Equality & Diversity, People Management focussed training, train the trainer and much more
- Conducting Training Needs Analysis on a yearly basis
- Create training materials and programmes to address specific business objectives
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness and success of training programmes
- Keep up-to-date on the latest training trends, developments and best practices
- Identify and implement a wide range of training techniques to improve efficiency
- Manage employee attendance for training, schedule training sessions and organise the resources to facilitate training programmes
- Capture feedback to continuously adapt and improve training
- Grow our structured development course, specifically apprenticeships and graduate programmes and optimise the value of our Apprenticeship Levy fund
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience developing and implementing training programmes
- Confident delivery methods various training methods
- Confident tracking performance of training programmes, write reports and recommend strategies for improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation, planning and time management skills
- Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change
