Greenlight Safety & Training are an apprenticeship provider working within the construction sector from the Midlands to Lands’ End.
Established in 2017 Greenlight Training Ltd is a subsidiary of Greenlight Group, that also incorporates Greenlight Safety Consultancy Ltd and Greenlight Safety Assessment Scheme Ltd. We have been operating for over 12 years with a longstanding and established name within the construction industry, with over 350 apprentices currently enrol.
The role:
We are currently recruiting for multiple construction apprentices, located in Bristol and the surrounding areas. On successful application you will be put forward to the employer for an interview/trial. The apprenticeship is open to all ages.
- Plastering
- Groundworks
- Drylining
- Bricklaying
- Roofing
- Highways Maintenance
- Property Maintenance
The successful candidates will be enrolled onto a 24-month Plastering, Drylining or Bricklaying apprenticeship, a 21-month Roofing apprenticeship, an 18-month Groundworks apprenticeship or a 12-month Property Maintenance apprenticeship with Greenlight Safety & Training delivering the qualification. You must attend the training centre for 3 consecutive days just once a month in the Bedminster area of Bristol. You will learn your craft with experienced tradesman and work your way to building a successful career in construction.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Apprentices will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours a week, 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday including training centre days. Subject to change, down to employers’ discretion.
- There may at times be some other aspects of construction involved, which shall be supervised and trained.
- When the apprentices are working, they will be supervised by a fully qualified member of staff and will be shown all the correct procedures including health and safety in the workplace. Along with ensuring that their work area is clean and safe, and that all the tools are cleaned and put away correctly at the end of each day.
- Driving is preferred but not essential.
The Candidate:
- A highly motivated individual to undertake a trade specific apprenticeship in one of the above trades and ultimately become a skilled tradesman.
- Enthusiastic, punctual, able to take instructions, and reliable.
- Must be able to cope with the physical side of the role enough to engage in manual labour.
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Able to work as part of a team or on their own.
- Realise phone usage is expected to be managed
