Salary: Soulbury A scale, points 2 – 7, starting on point 4 £44,782 to £50,584

Are you a qualified Educational Psychologist? Or are you currently studying for a Doctorate in Educational Psychology and due to finish in September 2023?

2023 is an exciting year to join Norfolk County Council’s Educational Psychology and Specialist Support Service. Norfolk County Council has been chosen to pilot Family Hubs and working with clusters of schools as part of the Safety Valve programme. These are ways of joining up locally, to improve access to services. Working with our new family clusters – an exciting and innovative way of working -, will be an integral part of the EP In Norfolk. As a Team we are passionate about improving outcomes for our children and we incorporate the Flourish – Norfolk County Council strategy in every aspect of our FLOURISH-EPSS practice. We are a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on research and development. We provide specialist interventions across Norfolk, alongside our statutory core and traded EP activities.

In our most recent EP Team Vision exercise, we identified we identified ourselves as:

‘[…] a group of professionals who apply our knowledge of child development, psychology, and pedagogy in our work to improve outcomes for children and young people in Norfolk. We share a range of expertise within the team and work together to ensure that our practice is evidence-based. We value professional supervision and encourage reflective practice. We promote creativity and equality, while encouraging the use of person-centred and holistic approaches within our work.’

About you

HCPC registration conferring you the right to work in England as an Educational Psychologist, or the expectation of that recognition from September 2023.

You share our passion for supporting children and young people and providing them with the best possible outcomes.

We also welcome applications from Trainee Educational Psychologists who are due to qualify in September 2023 and applications from internationally trained Educational Psychologists who meet HCPC requirements and are looking to relocate to the UK.
