Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Salary: Days is £12.00 Per Hour and Nights is £13.00 per hour.
Job type: Full Time – Permanent. Day shift 4on/4off 6am-6pm, Night shift 4on/4off 6pm-6am.

The Role:
To assist in all aspects of carrying out daily production tasks from weighing up ingredient ts for processing, to palletising finished product and all operations in between. Completing tasks to maximum efficiency whilst maintaining low levels of waste, maximising outputs, working safely and ensuring high quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Assisting with the unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
- Checking of incoming loads for damaged or missing products
- Re-arrange, sort and placing of goods in the designated areas / racks.
- Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
- Maintain inventory records of Warehouse Products via scanner and or through a computer.
- Stock counting and location checks.
- Loading goods onto trucks for distribution.
- Operating machinery and equipment as required for the above activity.
- Assisting with the achievement of production targets.
- Minimising production costs.
- Minimising wastage.
Quality, Food Safety & Hygiene:
- Carry out duties to ensure high standards of food quality and food safety are maintained.
- Complying with Company hygiene policies and procedures when undertaking operations while maintaining high standards of personal hygiene.
- Monitoring and recording quality and food safety performance where applicable.
- Reporting any unsafe practices which could affect food safety.
Health & Safety:
- Working in a safe manner with due consideration for personal Health & Safety and that of co-workers at all times.
- Reporting any unsafe working practices
- Compliance with manual handling procedure
Learning & Development:
- Attending Company Training courses/sessions which will support your continuous personal development to ensure our manufacturing capability keeps pace with or exceeds our customer requirements. Including, food quality, food safety, health & safety and other aspects of competence required by legislation.
- Demonstrating competence in trained factory tasks.
- Following information and instruction to the best of your ability.
Teamwork:
- Functioning to the best of your ability within the production team, treating other members of staff with dignity and respect.
