Danaher & Walsh is a long-established civil engineering contractor operating across the Midlands and East Anglia, which is experiencing ongoing growth. Due to this increasing level of business, an opportunity has arisen for a Bid Writer/Manager to join our team.
This role would suit an ambitious candidate with solid experience in a similar role, preferably with experience within the field of civil engineering/construction, who is looking to further their career within an established and successful company.

As a Bid Writer/Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead in the planning and delivery of PQQ and bid submissions in line with agreed strategies
- Work closely with the estimating and delivery teams (operational and commercial), engaging in a purposeful and well-organized manner
- Manage the Pre-Construction submission process and the bid response database
- Prepare presentations and attend tender interviews where required
- Input into the development of the tender programme/methodology
- Liaise and work with the Estimating and Business Development Managers
What we’re looking for
As a Bid Writer/Manager, you must be organised and analytical. You must have outstanding interpersonal, leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional time management and an eye for detail are also key.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- At least two years of proven experience in a similar position
- Exemplary written English and technical writing experience
- Ability to review and improve written bid submissions
- Excellent IT skills
- Confident in dealing with clients/consultants and D&W employees at all levels
- An HND, HNC or degree qualification
- A full UK driving license
