The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a journalist or someone already working in a PR role to join ARU’s press office. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative, and enjoy the challenge of unearthing brilliant stories to share with a wide audience.
The successful candidate will work with academics and senior members of the university to promote news that matches our values and ambitions, to raise the profile of ARU both locally and nationally. They will also pitch stories and field enquiries from the media and assist with requests to film on campus.
Candidate Requirements:
With a degree or relevant professional qualification, or with an appropriate level of experience and evidence of relevant CPD, candidates must have experience in a similar press office role or as a journalist, excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to build strong working relationships with the media and internally within the university.
