RM Construction & Developments Ltd is an established groundwork, construction and landscaping company working on high-end individual developments, with sites situated predominantly in the southeast. Due to growth and increased workload, we are looking for a CAD Technician (Assistant) to join our established team, to work alongside our existing CAD Technician. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a varied and exciting role.
CAD Technician Duties:
– Obtain all pre-design information.
– Developing design briefs
– Understand and assess all site/project constraints
– Site surveys
– Translating customer specification into detailed productions drawings (AutoCAD)
– Set out detailed technical production drawings
– Produce detailed drawings for Demolition, Excavation, Backfill, Utility plans and Site Layout plan incorporating the client’s requirements whilst keeping in mind best practices
– Space planning and problem solving for the construction site
– Site visits prior to design to understand the constraints
– Be the liaison point with external designers such as Civil engineers and Structural Designers
– Design of 2D and 3D construction drawings with Auto CAD and Site 3D
– Preparing take-off materials to deliver information to sales team for pricing
– Consulting & researching information about construction details and installation methods
– Survey of construction site to monitor as-built versus design
CAD Technician Candidate Profile:
– Flexible approach to work and great attitude
– Pro-active in making improvements and helping the team
– Auto CAD and Site 3D experience (though training is provided) and certificate
– Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
