Job Title: Tree Surgery Team Member

Location: Aberdeen

Salary: £10.00 – £14.00 per hour

Job Type: Full Time – Permanent.

Established in 1994, Roy Cowie is a 65 strong a team of proud professionals dedicated to providing a first-class service in landscape construction projects, ground and garden maintenance, tree surgery, gritting and snow clearing, both private and commercial, in Aberdeen and the North-east.

We are an environmentally responsible company who utilise battery powered tools and who recycle all the materials generated by their business activities. Many employees have worked for the company in excess of 10 years.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time position based in Aberdeenshire. The successful candidate’s salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

Normal working hours will be 7am-4.30pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-3.00pm Friday.

Following an interview, successful applicants will be required to work a probationary period of 12 weeks before being offered a written contract for full-time employment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant NPTC/Lantra qualifications.
  • Full UK driving licence. – Essential.
  • The ability to demonstrate confident and competent climbing.
  • An understanding of pruning techniques.
  • Tree and shrub knowledge.
  • Communication and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and safe site working practices.
  • Positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Arboriculture and Soft works Manager.
  • The successful applicants will enjoy a variety of work in both the private and commercial sectors.
  • You will be working with a large variety of the company’s own modern plant and equipment to complete work to an extremely high standard.
  • We have our own truck mounted MEWP specifically selected due to its superiority for Arboriculture work.
