Job Title: Party Wall Surveyor
Location: Chessington
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent. Full-time. 37.5 hours over 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
You will be capable of working with minimum supervision in all areas of Building Surveying including but not limited to, in respect of:
- Party Wall matters
- Defects Analysis of existing buildings and associated report writing
- Dilapidation
- Produce reports and other information as required in line with statutory, regulatory and policy requirements
- Provide technical reports, appraisals, measurement, costings and estimates as required
- Undertake surveys and prepare schedules
- Specify building repairs and reinstatement up to £200k and a full scope of maintenance or refurbishment works.
- Contract Administration
- Site Inspections of Contractors work on site
- Monitoring construction works in respect of quality and progress and reporting to clients
- Manage projects from inception to completion, analyse costs, agree Final Accounts, and issue Valuations and Practical Completion Certificates
- Work within agreed budgets and cost controls

Relevant Education & Experience:
Essential
Hold a valid driving license and have access to a car and be willing to use it for site visits subject to the payment of expenses.
Be educated to degree level from a university recognised by the RICS. To have completed BSc Building Surveying (or an equivalent degree) OR be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIoB) OR have demonstrable previous experience of working in Construction, Insurance or Housing.
To have been practising as a Party Wall Surveyor for min 3 years.
Have experience of producing Notices, Schedules of Condition and Awards as either Building Owners Surveyor or Adjoining Owners Surveyor or Agreed Surveyor.
Have demonstrable experience of specifying building repairs and reinstatement and managing contracts.
Desirable
Be a Member of either Pyramus & Thisbe Society OR Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors.
Be able to produce clear annotated drawings on AutoCAD.
