Job Title: General Assembly Operative
Location: Maldon, Essex – Factory Based
Salary: £20,650 per annum (Monthly Production bonus after 3 months, based on set KPIs)
Job type: Full-time, 3 Months Fixed term contract
Eppendorf CryoTech is a leading life science company that designs & develops ultra-low temperature freezers for liquid handling in laboratories worldwide.
About the role:
The general duties include providing support wherever required within the facility.
The job includes but is not restricted to duties including:
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Support general logistic processes, such as delivering material into the different production departments
- Provide general support to the production areas as required by the area supervisors
- Consistently good quality assemblies are essential. Ensure that material surfaces are protected and not scratched/dented, particularly where these are customer visual, and are protected from dirty surfaces or handling contamination
- Carry out regular inspection and housekeeping on the equipment used in your area and at the end of each batch provide information on maintenance issues that need to be resolved
- Immediately let your supervisor know of any material shortages, production or equipment issues
- Maintain your equipment and area on a daily basis
About you:
Training, professional experience:
- Health & safety training and awareness
- Basic use of hand tools
- Manual handling
Professional Competence/knowledge:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable but not essential
- Ability to use various tools
- Able to adhere to high quality standards
Personal skills:
- Team orientated.
- Good verbal communication at all levels
- Readily accept responsibility
- Self-motivated, willing and able to provide support as and when required across several functions
- Driven to get results
