The Company:

Crown Architectural Systems offer a full and diverse range of aluminium windows, curtain walling, doors shop fronts, security shutters, steel doors and windows, fire screens, windows and doors all of which are manufactured in house at our Washington facility with state-of-the-art machinery.

Crown are strong in most sectors as we have the ability to offer turn key products to a varied client base, and through the efforts of a strong and committed team, we offer a full back up and technical service and work nationally with our clients.

The Candidate:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts / Installation Manager to join our Team as the business expands. The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a Management Role within the Windows / Construction Industry and be comfortable with overseeing 4 to 6 teams of Installers, including sub-contract fitters. All experience levels will be considered. The successful candidate must be able to commute to our Washington, Tyne and Wear office daily if required.

The Role:

This is an exciting role and is ideal for someone seeking a new challenge in a progressive, fast-paced and exciting environment. As well as the day-to-day duties that the role brings, you will also be involved in:

  • Scheduling of work for contractors on site.
  • Overseeing sites and site management of contractors.
  • Liaising with site managers, quantity surveyors whilst works are ongoing to finish projects.
  • Overcoming any on-site issues.
  • You will work closely with our in-house Production Team and attend weekly meetings to discuss upcoming work and schedules.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in fitting aluminium windows and doors.
  • Curtain walling experience with architectural drawings.
  • Good trouble shooting skills.
  • Honesty and reliability.
  • Capable of dealing with our clients face to face.
  • Excellent communication skills, both on the telephone, email, and verbally.
  • An excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and diary management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Word/Excel.
  • Valid full UK driving license.
