Job Title: Wireperson
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £10.00 per hour
Job type: Permanent/Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (5 days), 8.00am to 5.00pm, 30 minute Lunch + 2 x 15 minute breaks
We are natural & smoke ventilation specialist and have been trading since 1988. We are one of the leading specialists in our field of natural & smoke ventilation supplying products in the UK to both individuals and trade customer alike.
Vent Engineering has grown rapidly over the past 30 years and an additional person is now required to assist in this challenging and fast paced environment.
A new position has been created for a Wireperson. It is a super opportunity to work as part of a large team for a successful group of companies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building electrical panels and installing electrical wiring and connections in residential, commercial, and industrial environments
- Wire preparation including crimping, identing, and cutting
- Testing and inspecting installations to ensure functionality
- Repairing faults in wiring and electrical components
- Wiring of industrial electrical equipment
About you:
- Ability to assemble and wire electrical panels for residential, commercial and automated industrial applications
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ability to wire electrical equipment for industrial machinery
- Knowledge of tools and instruments of the trade
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Precision and attention to detail
- Strong manual skills
- GCSE English & Maths Grade B or above is essential
