Job Title: Customer Service Administrator
Location: Preston / WFH (Hybrid)
Salary: £21,000 per annum
Job type: Full time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
A long established company in designing and manufacturing is currently looking for a Customer Service Administrator.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- A proactive member of the customer services team, dealing with both internal and external customers by phone and by email
- To ensure all customer needs are met promptly and accurately
- Providing office support to the sales team where necessary with a view to achieving departmental goals
- Achieving group targets as defined by your line manager
Main Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for customer enquiries, handling inbound calls (circa 50 per day) & emails
- Customer reporting as and when required
- Co-ordination and management of sampling orders (swatches and Point of Sale)
- End to end management of the order book process
- Entry of sales orders
- Allocation of stock where appropriate
- Issue resolution with customers
- Re-date and reconfirm ETAs for customers where there are delays
- Working with quality control and warehouse to resolve issues and expedite orders
- Working with purchasing to secure ETA dates
- Working with IT team to enhance systems and processes that improve customer service
- Arranging returns from customers where appropriate and raising Returns Authorisations
- Processing web based sales orders
- Setting up customer profiles to give them web site access
The Candidate:
Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths/English Grade A-C (Essential)
- A-levels (Desirable)
- Degree qualification (Desirable)
- Customer Service related NVQ (Desirable)
Knowledge / Skills:
- Good and effective communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability to record information in a concise, accurate and legible manner, as appropriate
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Proven ability of organisation skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Competent level of IT literacy
