Job Title: Production Operative
Location: London
Salary: Salary £19,760 (Minimum Wage Annual Salary at £9.50 Per Hour)
Job type: Permanent/Full-Time – Hours: Shifts – Morning 8 am – 4.30 pm or afternoon 2.30 pm -11 pm.
Objectives
To safely and hygienically carry out the duties given to you by your supervisor or manager and to operate, maintain and clean the equipment and working environment
Performance measures
- Follow instructions and complete tasks promptly and effectively
- Maintain a good working relationships with work fellow workers
- Swift implementation of preventative actions
- Strive to reduce wastage and improve efficiencies
Main activities
- Manually weighing, cutting and preparing various cheeses and other products to customer specifications.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness
- Correctly use processing equipment for which you are trained, do not use any equipment which you are untrained to use
- Work efficiently and safely & make certain all products are made to specification
- Report any equipment malfunctions to your line supervisor or manager
- Accurately complete all records and report to your supervisor if there is any fault with equipment, raw materials or product
- Adhere to all Health and Safety and Quality Manual instructions
- Remove waste as necessary, “clean as you go”
- With your team, ensure that all equipment and environment are cleaned daily, to a high standard
- All cleaning schedules are adhered too
- All operational procedures for weighing, mixing, packaging, labelling and metal detection are followed. Complying to all CCP’s
- Production HACCP is complied with, including Allergens, High & Low risk segregation are obeyed
- Observe all parts of personal hygiene rules and good manufacturing practice
- Raw material and products are kept in chilled storage
- Any other reasonable requests
Profile
- Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
- Demonstrate personal time management skills
- Must speak, read and write a basic level of English
- Full training on the role provided internally
Health and safety
- To work in accordance with the company Health & Safety policy
- Observe all parts of personal hygiene rules and good manufacturing practices
Security
- To take reasonable precautions to protect the Company’s property
- To challenge any unauthorised personnel on the premises
- To report and investigate any incident of theft
