Job Title: Assembly, Test & Repair Technician

Holidays: 30 per year, increasing to 33
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 36 hrs per week – Mon-Thurs 7.30 – 4.00pm, Fri 7.30 – 11.30am + overtime

Due to our continued growth Oilgear Leeds is currently recruiting for Assembly, Test & Repair Technicians to join our expanding team.
About the Role:
You will have work with, and learn from our experienced team to be responsible for the assembly, testing, fault finding and repair of valves, pumps and manifolds. You will also support our Service Centre Engineers to ensure that Oilgear provides an excellent, efficient and effective service to our customers.

The site is conveniently situated approximately 1 mile from the centre of Leeds with easy transport links to both the city centre and the motorway.
Main duties will include:
- Carrying out assembly, test and repair activities on valves and pumps for the power generation, aerospace and steel making industries
- Interpret electro system / circuit drawings and mechanical engineering drawings.
- Trouble-shooting & fault-finding, strip/inspect and repair electro hydraulic machinery.
- Identify component needs & liaise with purchasing department & stores
- Assembling and testing pumps & valves
- Use industry standard testing equipment.
- Oversee & be responsible for the calibration of the testing equipment
- Complete test reports & produce test cards
- Development work and project working with design & electrical engineers
- Contributing to project review and other related meetings.
- Highlight issues on build, raise NCR’s and find solutions to problems.
- Be involved in, monitor, review the Health & Safety processes & procedures in the department including general housekeeping, PPE, complete Audits & Maintenance Schedules.

Technical/Job Specific:
- You must be computer literate and have good levels of numeracy and literacy
- You will be experienced in a manufacturing or similar environment
