Instrument Technology Ltd (ITL) was established in the 1960’s, specialising in the manufacture of special electro-optical tubes for university and science research applications
During the 80’s and 90’s ITL expanded rapidly with the introduction of a full range of specialist components utilised in an ever growing global vacuum research market
Since then ITL has been serving the world’s leading vacuum equipment suppliers, who in turn are supporting a booming semiconductor industry

Scope
As Quality Assurance Engineer you will evaluate the quality assurance of ITL processes and products and recommend/implement improvements. In addition you will formulate quality assurance policies and procedures and train employees how to use the quality assurance system
Responsibilities
- Monitoring an entire production process and performing regular tests to identify potential problems and malfunctions in the early stages
- Inspecting raw materials and products to find defects and enhance durability
- Identifying the root causes of technical issues and implementing fixes
- Preparing reports and documentations on malfunctions and corrective actions
- Reviewing product blueprints and quality documentations
- Setting and tracking assurance goals
- Coordinating with external QA Auditors and Technicians to ensure legal compliance
- Working with internal teams to improve the quality of products for enhancing
- customer satisfaction
The Person
- 3+ years experience as a QA Engineer, ideally in a Manufacturing environment
- Ability to take the initiative in work methods and interpreting goals
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- High attention to detail with a “right first time” mentality
- Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable preventive action plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate new processes clearly and document critical aspects of the job
- Ability to operate under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and team-player skills
