Job Title: Instructional/Learning Designer
Location: Hybrid able to attend our London Office
Salary: £36,030 per annum, pro rata

About BDA:
We are the voice of dentists and dental students in the UK. We bring dentists together, support our members through advice and education, and represent their interests. This is a challenging and dynamic period for dentistry and the BDA is recruiting a Learning Designer to support the effective delivery of BDA Education courses and assessments.
About the role:
This is a full-time fixed term post initially for nine months and we anticipate a hybrid approach to working location, with home working alongside attendance at our central London office.
The post-holder will be responsible for be responsible for the design of effective and engaging e-learning content. They will work closely with internal and external subject matter experts to establish learning goals and requirements, define learning objectives, write storyboards and use rapid development tools to create e-learning resources.
About you:
The successful candidate will have expert instructional design skills including the ability to write effective copy, instructional text and storyboards and an in-depth knowledge of creating and maintaining online courses using the Articulate Storyline suite of authoring tools. Experience of publishing e-learning content to a Moodle or Totara Learn LMS would also be required as well as good knowledge and experience of using collaborative project planning tools e.g. MS Teams, Planner.
We are looking for a good team player with excellent written and oral communication skills so that they to convey complex information and communicate with professionals at all levels.
The postholder should have an organised and proactive approach, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The postholder must also have excellent IT skills with Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook. and experience of using and maintaining databases.

The Instructional/Learning Designer will be an integral part in our small and friendly Education team that develop and manage e-learning courses, online examinations as well as developing short, targeted e-learning activities to support other BDA services and campaigns.
