We are seeking a new academic colleague with expertise in Project and Operations Management to join the People, People, Organisations and Practice Department within Aberdeen Business School at Robert Gordon University (RGU).

The Role:
This role offers opportunities for teaching and research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You might currently be in an academic or professional role with experience of teaching in online, bimodal and traditional on campus modes, student support and project supervision. You will be educated to Masters Degree Level and ideally be an established member of a relevant professional body such as the Association for Project Management or the Project Management Institute and also possess, or be close to completing, your doctorate.
Duties Include:
- Carry out designated teaching (e.g. via lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, field trips, studio work, practicals, etc.), student supervision and assessment duties in areas of expertise, or as otherwise required by the Academic Strategic Lead.
- Participate in the development and preparation of teaching materials.
- Provide tutorial and personal guidance for students.
- Develop and maintains expertise in subject areas
- Engage in research activities relevant to the School independently and in collaboration with other staff.
- Participate in subject and course development.
- Participate in curriculum development and, in particular, contributes to the introduction of innovative and engaging delivery of teaching and learning.
- Undertake appropriate administrative responsibilities (e.g. year tutor, student selection, examination organisation, placement organisation, timetabling, maintaining attendance records, etc.).
- Assist in the supervision and visiting of students during their periods of work experience.
- Maintain working relationship with other Schools/Departments/Units within the University, as necessary, for the smooth operation and continued development of the School and its courses.
- Establish and maintain relevant professional and industrial links, as necessary, for the effective operation of the School’s course (e.g. liaison with professional bodies, support for accreditation activities, engagement in work of external bodies, educational and professional).

Person Specification:
Essential Requirements –
Masters Degree in Project Management or related area.
Experience –
Teaching experience in an academic setting or training in a business environment.
