Job Title: Stretch Tent / Marquee Erector
Location: Baldock
Salary: £12 – £17 p/h with potential bonuses reflected in dedication to the job.
Job type: Permanent, Full time or Part-time.
The Role:
Hire stretch tents and equipment across the UK to festivals, corporate events, weddings and lavish private parties. We also sell and maintain stretch tents to venues, pubs and restaurants across the South East and beyond.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
You will join one of the rigging teams and travel to different jobs across the South East and beyond most days, from our base near Stevenage. In-between being out on jobs rigging you will be loading / picking and maintaining equipment. Good fitness and strength helps with the job as its physically demanding. Some quieter days either side of the busy season carpentry and building skills are an advantage.
Team leader position available – lead a small team on jobs with time pressures, work efficiently and keep the team well-oiled on long days.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Event or marquee or stretch tent experience is a strong advantage*
- Applicants over the age of 25 is an advantage but not a must
- Van driving experience an advantage
- Industrial forklift experience an advantage
- Team leader skills an advantage
- Possible full time team leader job available dependant on experience and performance
What We Offer:
- If you’re not experienced in rigging stretch tents we will ‘hone’ you into a rigger through training and experience on the job, you will work under experienced well-seasoned riggers who are great at showing you the ‘ropes’. We have a high attention for detail and we expect all our staff to promote this.
- Hours– This is NOT an OFFICE 9-5 JOB, some days will be 7-8hrs however when the season is in full flow this can quiet easily double. We generally start at 6.30 and a sensible communing distance should be taken into account. We predominately work weekdays however from time to time weekends and bank holidays are a must.
