We’re looking for a Head of Legal who will drive performance in our Legal team and deliver the best service for our clients.

Job Specifics:
As the Legal Principal, and with a broad spectrum of legal experience, you will bring a proactive approach to your work. This is an executive position where you will be responsible for the development and success of the legal team as part of the ongoing growth of Echo. A determined, strategic and positive personality with experience of building and leading teams is essential. You will have strong technical knowledge in the relevant areas of law and you will be forward-thinking and business-minded.
Key to this role is commercial aptitude and confidence to engage with stakeholders at every level to ensure the legal arm is proactive and effective.
In brief, you will:
- Lead and motivate a team of solicitors, paralegals and assistants
- Provide guidance on regulatory, client care and legal issues
- Monitor and manage performance of the team
- Further developing the culture of delivering exceptional customer service to clients
- Monitor and review workflow and caseloads, ensuring they are handled in a timely manner
- Supporting the team with technical legal queries
- Help grow the business
About you:
A minimum of 5 years PQE. Experience as a solicitor, preferably in healthcare work (advisory and litigation) is strongly desired, along with prior experience as a head of department at a previous law firm.
You will also:
- Have proven track record of providing proactive, consistent and efficient client services
- Have a good understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and other regulatory requirements
- Have experience of leading and managing a team
- Have the ability to provide the highest standard of client care
- Have excellent written and verbal communication
- Be adept at problem solving
- Attention to detail, good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
