Job Title: Yard Manager
Location: Maidstone
Salary: £30k – £35k per annum
Job type: Full Time – Permanent. (Yard based only)
Maidstone Builders Merchants is an Independent Builders Merchants established in 2016. We pride ourselves on delivering Exceptional Customer Service together with Quality Products at Excellent Prices.
We offer free local deliveries and welcome the general public as well as trade. We are looking for a yard manager to join our busy and constantly growing team.
About the role
Your duties will include serving customers in the busy builder’s merchant yard and trade counter. Overseeing all deliveries inbound and outbound aswell as helping to motivate the team. This will involve manually loading and unloading materials, checking deliveries of goods are correct, ensuring that the materials are stored safely as well as raising sales orders/invoices at the counter and taking payments.
Main duties
- FLT work.
- Maintain Yard areas.
- Organizing the team for the day/week.
- Work with the Director to improve service and standards.
The Candidate:
- FLT Licence would be advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise and multi task.
- Organisational skills.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Flexibility and dedication.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Health and Safety awareness.
- Be comfortable with outdoor working.
- Manual handling abilities.
