Job Title: IT Support Specialist – 2nd / 3rd Line

Location: Eccles, Manchester

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join the technical team, working from the Manchester office along with home working options. We are looking for people to join our team, with a good range of infrastructure skills for this role and are seeking individuals with the experience of working as part of a busy and buzzing IT helpdesk.

This opportunity is perfect for the person looking to expand and enhance their current skills & knowledge and are looking to prove themselves as a dedicated 3rd Line specialist technician, within a friendly and established IT technology focused MSP.

About you:

Experience

  • Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across a client base which specialises in Small Business and/or Hospitality via remote connectivity, telephone, or Teams
  • Have familiarity of PSA/RMM tools such as Autotask, AEM and IT Glue to provide enhanced support services to all our clients
  • Experience in remote diagnostics along with analysis and monitoring
  • Possesses great and confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer Service abilities that deliver empathy and clear guidance
  • Take enjoyment from working as a core member of a technical team
  • Thrives on understanding and being aware of new and current technologies
  • IT related degree or relevant qualifications highly desirable.

Technical requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions including MS 365 and Azure suites
  • Proven experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack
  • Experience working with Security & Network infrastructure preferred
  • Overall appreciation of client system security, requirements and proven experience with relevant software and hardware solutions
  • Overview ISP solutions and connectivity requirements
  • Wi-Fi solution experience & knowledge
  • Experience of hospitality products such as PMS and POS systems and associated interfaces is beneficial
  • Understanding around core IT compliance for GDPR & PCI/DSS etc.
  • Candidates with Microsoft Certifications would prove advantageous.

  • Amazing soft skills: Friendly, Confident and Technically astute alongside good written and verbal communication skills, you will be dealing directly with end users so need to be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical clients
  • Can confidently research new products and information around technical solutions that could provide answers and solve problems which benefit the whole team
  • Self-Motivated and disciplined, with the ability to prioritise and execute tasks under pressure.
